Hi! I am Dov Turobiner, from Los Angeles. I am so grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Israel ParaSport Center for my Bar Mitzvah project. IPSC is an amazing organization in Israel that helps individuals overcome physical disabilities and permanent injuries to compete with passion and determination. Supporting this mission combines my love for sports with wanting to help others. Being an athlete is a huge part of my life and who I am! I love playing baseball and basketball and am so grateful for the opportunities my body and my parents give me to play the sports I love. I think that everyone, especially kids and teens like me, should have the chance to experience the joy of sports, no matter their circumstances.
For my project, I have chosen to raise a minimum of $3,600 for a wheelchair so that athletes with disabilities can continue playing the sports they love, especially wheelchair basketball! The money I raise will also help provide team uniforms, specialized sports equipment, and transportation to the center for these athletes. Their dedication and perseverance proves that no challenge is too great when you love the game, and that everyone can be a winner! My goal is to help ensure that these athletes in Israel have the same opportunities as I do to play, compete, and thrive, and I can’t wait to visit the center and the athletes in person when I am in Israel in June.
Please join my winning team in making a difference by donating and helping me raise the necessary funds to support this incredible and important cause. For each donation we will send you a customized bracelet that shows the colors of my favorite sports teams and hope you wear it with pride knowing that your support made a huge difference to an athlete in Israel!
Thank you,
