Thinking about my upcoming Bar Mitzvah and becoming a responsible Jewish adult, I know that I need to begin giving tzedakah, or charity. Being generous and helping people in need is an important part of taking ‘adult’ responsibility for our communities and for the world.
Preparing for my Bar Mitzvah, I came across a cause that became particularly meaningful to me over the past year, as Israel’s many battles have multiplied the number of injured and disabled citizens. There are three things I care about that combine to form the perfect destination for my Bar Mitzvah project dollars: Israel, helping people who are struggling, and sports. With these three things in mind, I am working to raise $3,600 for the Israel ParaSports Center located in Ramat Gan, Israel. The Israel ParaSports Center helps thousands of disabled people build strength, confidence, and improve their quality of life despite their physical challenges.
Here’s a video where you can learn more about the ParaSports Center:
What is the Israel ParaSport Center?
Thank you for considering supporting the Israel ParaSports Center and for helping me reach my goal for this special Bar Mitzvah project.
Sincerely,
Yahav
